NFPA
1991, 2000 Edition (National Fire Protection Association)
To pass the applicable boot requirements for
NFPA 1991, 2000 edition, boots are independently tested to verify
compliance. Boots must resist permeation for 1 hour or more against
each chemical in the NFPA 1991, 2000 edition battery. The battery
consists of 15 chemical liquids and 6 chemical gases. The boots
must also pass a flammability resistance test. |

Protective Footwear)
As used in this standard, footwear means footwear
designed, constructed and manufactured, with a protective toe cap,
that is specifically designed and manufactured to meet the performance
requirements of this standard. However, protective footwear may
include other types of protection for the user, such as protective
footwear manufactured with metatarsal guards, electrostatic dissipative
footwear, conductive footwear, electrical hazard footwear (electric
shock resistant sales and heels) and sole puncture resistant footwear. |

As used with this standard, protective footwear
CSA Standard Z195 (now CAN/CSA-Z195), Protective Footwear, covers
design and performance requirements, including toe protection, sole
puncture protection, electric resistant soles, and other requirements
relating to metatarsal protection and general stability of the footwear. |

C/75 for impact and compression, as well as CSA STD Z195 M92 Grade
1 or Grade 2.
Steel Midsole: Meets or exceeds ANSI standard Z41-PR and CSA standard
Z195 M92 Grade 1 for puncture resistance. |

CSA: Green Sticker on label signifies Grade
1 Certification for toe impact.
CSA: Green Triangle on label signifies sole protection (steel mid-plate). |

Dielectric
Footwear
Meets or exceeds the ANSI STD Z41-1991 Section
4 for Electrical Hazard Footwear, as well as CSA Z195-Grade 1. Dielectric
footwear will withstand 14,000 volts of AC current for 1 minute,
showing no leakage in excess of 5.0 milliamperes. |
