of Temperature Ratings |
| The
temperature ratings were determined by measuring the amount of time
in seconds for the temperature inside the glove material to rise 10º
F from the starting temperature. The temperature on the outside of
the glove was 250º, 350º and 500º F. For every 15 seconds
of time it took for the temperature to rise, the glove scores one
thermometer pictogram. 0 thermometers with red "don't use"
icon: The gloves offer little or no insulation against the temperature.

= > 15 seconds to rise 10º degrees inside the glove at that
outside temperature.
•• = > 30 seconds to rise 10º degrees inside
the glove at that outside temperature.
••• = > 45 seconds to rise 10º degrees
inside the glove at that outside temperature.
•••• = > 60 seconds to rise 10º
degrees inside the glove at that outside temperature.
